Mangaluru: Eid-Ul-Fitr was celebrated by the Muslim brethren living in coastal districts of Karnataka with devotion and sense of gratefulness towards the Almighty on Wednesday, June 5.
Special Eid prayers were offered by huge crowds gathered at all mosques along Karavali in the morning. The festival marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, during which fasting is observed during the day.
On the occasion of the important festival, people were seen greeting each other conveying Eid greetings. Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated on the first day of Shawwal which is the tenth month of the Islamic calendar.
