Nelyady: Biker killed in head-on collision with car

Uppinangady: A 33-year-old youth lost his life in a road accident at Periyashanthi near Nelyady on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru National Highway 75 on Wednesday, June 5 evening.

The deceased, as Rajesh was a native of Kerala and was residing in Shibaje here.

Rajesh who had come to Nelyady for some work was returning home on his Royal Enfield bike was returning to Shibaje when a Mangaluru-bound car collided head-on into his bike. Rajesh sustained serious head injuries and was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru where he breathed his last.

The car occupants escaped unhurt in the mishap.
