Couple writes a note intending to commit suicide, then disappears

Moodbidri: After sending a message to the cell phone of a friend telling him that they had decided to commit suicide, a young couple has gone missing. The couple in question comprises of a lady from Badaga Mijar and a man who is a member of a band set.
A detailed search has been undertaken to locate the couple by the police with assistance from the locals. The search began at Pidamale forest at Kallamandkur on Thursday.
Apparently, the couple had travelled to Kaup in the car belonging to a friend of the man, after which they hired a taxi to Pidamale forest area at Kallamandkur, post which their whereabouts remain unknown.
Intention to commit suicide
Incidentally, a ten rupee note was found along with a cellphone in the car which they had taken to travel. The note bore the information of the couple’s intention to commit suicide. the note is presently in possession of the police.
The friend who had dropped the couple in his car at Kaup also later received a message from the couple informing him their intention to commit suicide. The families of both the people have become very much worried after coming to know of this information. The investigation of the couple’s disappearance is becoming tedious since both of their smart phones have remained switched off.
Missing complaint
The man who dropped the couple at Kaup has been interrogated by the police. Meanwhile, a missing complaint has been filed with the town police by the family of the lady. There is no information on if a missing complaint has been filed regarding the disappearance of the man as well.
