Jeep crashes into a store; driver dead

Surathkal: A Toofan jeep crashed into a car and barged into a shop after the driver of the vehicle lost control of his vehicle near Mukka on Thursday. The crash resulted in the on the spot death of the car driver, while two others were injured.

The deceased is identified as Rama alias Ramesh (32), a resident of Lingappayyana Kadu in Mulki. Two others who were in the vehicle have sustained injuries.

The jeep was plying from Mulki towards Surathkal when the driver lost control of his vehicle near Mukka hospital, crashed into the rear of the car ahead of it and then came to a halt within a roadside store. A case in this regard has been registered at Mangaluru North Traffic Police Station.
