Three-year-old killed after school bus runs over her

Bengaluru: In a tragic incident a three-year-old died after she was knocked down by a private school bus in Doddamannugudde village, near Ramanagara, on Friday, June 21 evening.

The deceased is identified as Jeevita R, the only daughter of farmer Rajanna.

As per the sources, Jeevita was standing outside her residence, the driver did not notice the girl standing and knocked her down. The rear wheel ran over the child’s head.

Following the incident, the driver fled the spot leaving the vehicle behind.

The police who rushed to the spot on receiving the information said that they have gathered the details of the accident from the students in the bus.

“We have contacted the school management and asked them to provide details of the driver; efforts are on to trace him,” the police added.
