Gold seized at MIA; one arrested

Bajpe: Customs officials at Mangaluru international Airport (MIA) have foiled an attempt of gold smuggling by apprehending a man here on June 22.
The passenger was attempting to smuggle 24 carat pure gold in paste form inside his rectum. The precious metal weighing 608 grams worth Rs 20.67 lakh was seized from the accused.
