New Delhi: Unidentified miscreants fired shots at a woman journalist while she was driving through East Delhi’s Ashok Nagar in the wee hours of Sunday.

In her complaint, the woman journalist, Mitali Chandola was driving in her Hyundai i20 car at around 12.30 am when the miscreants overtook her vehicle and hurled eggs at her windshield. When she did not stop her vehicle the men fired two shots at her, she said.

The incident took place near Dharamshila Narayana Superspeciality Hospital.

Mitali is said to have sustained bullet injuries in her arm but is out of danger.

Police investigating the case suspect this to be a case of family dispute.
