Inappropriate behaviour: Youths from Kerala thrashed in Kodagu police station

Virajpet: A video depicting the police of Palibetta in the taluk, beating two youths, natives Kerala, in the police station has gone viral on social media.
A youth of Malappuram district of Kerala had befriended a girl student of a college in Palibetta of the taluk on social media. On June 18, the youth had come to Palibetta along with his friend as it was his girl friend’s birthday.
Apparently, the youth had misbehaved way at the premises of the college where the girl was studying and hence, the principal of the college informed the police about this act of the youth. Meanwhile, the locals got news of the incident and took law into their own hands by beating up the youth.
The police arrived to the spot later and took both the youths into custody. They then proceeded to give them a proper beating in the Palibetta police station, post which, the youth were let off with a warning.
Meanwhile, the several villagers and students of the college recorded the event and shared a video online which had gone viral on social media.
