Teenager injured in road mishap, succumbs

Udupi: A teenager who was injured in a road accident that occurred on June 19 near Korangrapadi succumbed to his injuries at the KMC hospital in Manipal. The deceased is identified as Roshan (16), only son of Paniyadi Budnaru resident Riyaz and a student pursuing 10th STD at MET English Medium School.

Roshan was on his way to school for special class in his father’s auto-rickshaw when a bus that came from the opposite direction collided with the rickshaw. The impact of the collision completely mangled the three-wheeler. Roshan suffered grievous injuries and was admitted to the KMC Hospital, Manipal while Riyaz suffered minor injuries.

Roshan will be laid to rest June 24 evening at Indrali Masjid, informed a family friend.
