Custom officials seize 239.86 gms gold from woman pssngr at MIA

Mangaluru: Officials of the Customs department at Mangaluru International airport seized gold welghing 239.86 grammes from a woman passenger jere on on Monday, June 24.
The passenger was subjected to frisking upon her arrival at the airport from Abu Dhabhi by an Air India Express flight, a tweet from Customs stated.
The passenger had concealed three crude gold chains and four crude gold bangles, of 24-karat purity under the burkha that she was wearing, stated the tweet.
The seized gold was valued at Rs 8.16 lakh.
