Leopard trapped in well, rescue ops underway

Beltangady: Forest officials are attempting to rescue a leopard which accidentally fell into a well belonging to Gange Gowda on Tuesday morning.
Gange Gowda’s family informed Mangaluru and Karkala forest officals after they spotted the leopard making frantic efforts to come out of the well.
A cage is being prepared to resue the leopard which might have strayed from nearing forest area, informed the sources.
Bantwal Range Forest Officer Subbaiah Naik, deputy range officers Rajesh, Vinod Gowda visited the spot.
