Mangalore: Having a pet can bring forth a lot of positive impact in the lives of people, more specifically can contribute to the mental well being. There are enough studies to prove this too. A nudge of a wet nose and unconditional love of pets can give us a sense of calmness and comfort. Driven by these motivating factors Animal Care Trust, Shakthinagar has been organising adoption camps of pups and kittens from many years.

The highlight of ACT camps has been that desi pups and kittens are given up for adoption. Thus enabling them by providing forever loving homes to the desi animals who are often neglected, abandoned and being subjected abuse for no fault of theirs.

In its pursuit of finding homes ACT has been very well supported by various social organisations and pet shops who collaborate with the Trust in organising adoption camps.

One such adoption camp will be organised on Sunday, June 30 at Car Decor, next to Hotel Suvarna, Shivbagh, Kadri, Mangaluru.
Over 30 pups and 10 kittens will be put up for adoption during the camp which will start at 10.00 a.m and conclude at 5.00 p.m.

People who wish to adopt will be required to get their valid Photo ID proof for registration. While no adoption fee is charged, ACT only collects a nominal registration fee of Rs 200 that helps in covering the basic medical expenses incurred.

This is the 20th  year for ACT, a registered charitable trust, that has been actively involved in caring for these voiceless beings across Mangalore and stands as a monument of compassion.
