Monsoon season atmosphere grips Karavali finally

Mangaluru: All the districts in coastal Karnataka experienced good rainfall on Wednesday and the entire karavali was finally covered in a real atmosphere of the monsoon season. Some minor accidents have been reported due to the rain.
There was good rain in Belthangady, Dharmasthala, Bantwal, Kadaba, Sullia, Puttur and Surathkal, Udupi and Kundapur taluks while the city experienced intermittent rainfall. Thekkatte village in Kundapur taluk experienced artificial floods due to improper drains by the sides of the national highway. Two-wheeler riders had a tough time traversing the inundation.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, good rainfall is expected for two more days along karavali.
Gokarna in Uttara Kannada got 13 cm rainfall on Wednesday which incidentally, was the highest in the state. Meanwhile, Karavali and a few places in southern interior Karnataka as well as a couple of places in northern interior Karnataka received good rain on Wednesday.
