Police locate cash, passport stashed away by a gang of robbers

Mangalureans had hidden Rs 13 lakh cash and 4 passports at a house in Kannur

Kasaragod: A police team under the leadership of Kannur DvSP P Sadananda have successfully located Rs 13,45,000 in cash and 4 passports stashed away in a house at Kannur by a gang of robbers from Mangaluru.

In a recent robbery that took place within the limits of Mulki police station, 2 out of the 6 accused were absconding. The accused identified as Muneer and his son Siyaz, both from Mangaluru had hidden away the cash an passport at the home of one of their relatives at Alikkodi in Kannur without the knowledge of the relative. They used to regularly visit the house to keep an eye on the stash.

Based on a tip-off regarding this, a police raid was conducted under the leadership of Kannur DySP Sadananda and the hidden materials were seized. Mulki police have been informed regarding the operation.

Mulki: Goa police take custody of notorious robbers

Mulki: Mohammed Sinan and Sawad, who belong to a notorious inter-state gang of robbers have been taken into custody by the Goan police along with the fortuner car they had stolen after the accused were nabbed by Mulki police. The Goan police had put in an application with Moodbidri Court requesting the transfer of the accused into their custody, which the court approved.
