Mangaluru: “District in-charge minister U T Khader is behind all the illegal activities taking place in the district. Without the support of the district in-charge minister, how is it possible for an illegal slaughter house to function?” alleged Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandhlaje speaking at a meeting for membership drive here on Saturday, June 29.
“Cattle transporters who celebrate by bursting crackers are supported. Khader must stop supporting illegal activities, or else there will be no respect for the district in-charge minister and his position. Khader is directly responsible for failure of law and order in the district,” she claimed.
“The situation of law and order is completely failed in the state as we witnessed a heinous crime at Deralakatte where a girl was stabbed by a boy in the middle of the road and later tried to end his own life by slicing his throat. When you notice this, it is clear that an atmosphere has been created of no fear of police. The state government should maintain law and order in the state. Strengthen the police department. The police personnel should not be transferred based upon their caste,” claimed the MP.
CM’s village stay
The MP spoke of the chief minister’s village stay and said, “Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy’s stay in village is only a drama. We have a chief minister threatens to lathi charge when people approach to him for solutions for their problem.”
IMA scam
Speaking on the IMA scam Shobha said, “Regarding IMA scam, SIT will not come out with the truth, as state government’s people are involved in the case. So it is better to hand over the case to CBI or ED.”
