Ujire: Young businessman electrocuted

Belthangady: A youth lost his life after he suffered an electric shock from the spray gun which he was using to wash a car.  The deceased is identified as Altaf Vafir (28), son of Ibrahim, a gunny bag merchant near Ujiri Kuntini.

On Sunday evening around 6:30 pm, the deceased was using the spray gun to wash the car. Later, when he was trying to remove the plug of the spray gun from the socket, he came in contact with the electricity and screamed asking his elder brother to switch off the power supply.

Since the deceased was already wet, he became a ready conductor for the electricity suffering serious damage. He was immediately rushed to Benaka hospital, but he had already breathed his last y then. He was later shifted to Belthangady government hospital.

The deceased was a young businessman running a gunny bag business and was also the president of Ujire Al Ameen Yung Mens organization. He was also a good sportsman with a black belt in karate. He was constructing a new house and had got married only three months back.

He is survived by his wife, father, mother, to elder brothers and five elder sisters.

Belthangady police have registered a case in this connection.
