DK to be shaped into top district in state: Kateel

Moodbidri: Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel on Sunday said that Dakshina Kannada district will be shaped into the top district in the state in next five years time.
Speaking at a programme held at Padmavathi auditorium in Moodbidri to felicitate Kateel for the third consecutive win in Lok Sabha polls he said that Congress was synonymous with corruption. By not electing Congress to power in the state, people have removed corruption from the district.
He urged party workers to educate people about central government programmes. On the occasion representatives elected to Mulky town panchayat and Moodbidri municipality were also feted.
MLA Umanath Kotian inaugurated the programme. BJP district general secretary, Sudarshan M, Zilla panchayat vice president, Kasturi Panja, member,K P Sucharita Shetty, BJP Dakshina Kannada district vice president, K P Jagadish Adhikari, Mandal vice president, Leela Banjan and others were present.
