Customs officials foil bid to smuggle gold worth Rs 98 lac

Kasargod: Customs officials arrested an inbound passenger and foiled his bid to smuggle gold worth Rs 98 lakh at Kannur International Airport here on Wednesday, July 10.
The passenger, Shabeeb, a resident of Malppuram had concealed 2800 grammes of gold in a drilling machine.
He has arrived in IX 774 flight from Doha.
Police have registered a case against him.
