Mangaluru: Surathkal police station Inspector K G Ramakrishna who was suspended for dereliction of duty in controlling drug network and other issues within the station’s jurisdiction by city Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil has been reinstated.
Mr Paitl has kept the disciplinary action on the inspector pending and has asked him to join back to duty. Hence, Ramakrishna took charge from the night of July 10.
in the backdrop of the rising instances of ganja peddling and cattle theft, the Police Commissioner had given instructions to the police officials to take stringent action against such crimes. Apparently, Ramakrishna failed to take the orders seriously
Additionally, when the public had approached the station to register a complaint against a finance company for cheating the public, the inspector had sent the people back without registering the complaint. Hence, the Inspector was suspended from duty in the backdrop of the Police Commissioner receiving multiple complaints against the Inspector.
