Two separate ganja cases: four arrested

Mangaluru: Four persons were arrested in connection to separated cases of ganja and 650 grams of marijuana was seized from them.
Kavoor police who were on patrol at 4:30 am in the morning along the Yeyyadi – Derebail road arrested Gaurav Kotiyan (26) of Pacchanadi and Rahul Donald Monterio (25) of Kavoorkatte at Haripadavu and seized 125 grams of weed from the accused. ASI Ballal and Head Constable Mohan were on rounds when they noticed the accused smoking pot in a car at Haripadavu.
In a separate case, the Economic and Narcotics Crime police arrested Mastikatte Ullal resident Ibrahim Sufaid (22) and Halekote Ullal resident Abdul Afil (21) on the charges of attempting to sell ganja at Talapady old checkpost. The cops seized 500 grams of ganja, Activa Honda and mobile phone from the accused.
Police Commissioner’s appreciation
Impressed by the arrest, the Police Commissioner honoured Ballal and Mohan by presenting them with a letter of appreciation.
