Sandesha foundation journalism course-2019 inaugurated

Mangaluru: Sandesha foundation for health and education in collaboration with Canara communication centre and St Agnes college inaugurated its journalism course-2019 on Monday evening.
Addressing the gathering after inagural ceremony, Sr Venissa AC, vice principal of St Agnes College said that the journalists should be truthful and be the voice for the voiceless as words are powerful than the sword.
She further added “Raviraj, head of the Mass communication department of Nitte college, gave us the insight into journalism, the current scenario of the journalists, how news has become the commodity with keeping in view of public’s interest rather presenting actual news and urged the gathering to cultivate the habit of questioning.
Kadher Shah, senior assistant director of Dakshina Kannada District Information department speaking on the occasion encouraged everyone to cultivate the habit of expressing our views through different ways.
One of the rare eco-friendly resolutions of not presenting flowers to welcome the guests rather present a farmcils, recycled paper pencils with seeds was much appreciated.
Fr Francis Assisi D Almeida, director Sandesha welcomed the gathering and Fr Richard D’souza, Canara communication director compared the inauguration programme.
Fr Valerian Mendonca former Sandesha director, Chancellor Udupi diocese, Roy Castelino, Sandesha Trustee was also present.
