Applications invited for student scholarship by postal department

Mangaluru: In order to spread awareness regarding ‘Philately’, the Indian Postal Department has announced invitation for its ‘De​en Dayal SPARSH Yojana​ ’ which provide scholarship to students studying from 6 std to 9th std.

The applications need to be submitted to the Senior Postal Superintendent, Mangaluru Division, Mangaluru-575002 by September 5th. Students who have earned more than 60% marks in 2018-19 and have a philately account or are part of school philately club are eligible for the scholarship.

De​en Dayal SPARSH Yojana​ is a ​Scholarship for Promotion of Aptitude & Research in Stamps as a Hobby​. The objective of the scholarship is to “Promote Philately among children at a young age in a sustainable manner that can reinforce and supplement the academic curriculum in addition to providing a hobby that can help them relax and de-stress”.
