Youth rescues woman who accidentally fell into a well

Bantwal: A woman who accidentally fell into a well at Kolake, Sajipamooda village near here on Thursday, July 18 was heroically rescued by a youth.

Parvati (60) of Kolake accidentally fell into the well near her house and her neighbours who witnessed it, raised an alarm for help. Noticing the situation, the youth identified as Siddique, who was sitting and reading a newspaper in the nearby shop, rushed to the location and jumped into the well. Later, he successfully brought Parvati to the surface by using a rope with assistance from the locals.

Parvati seemed unwell after the incident and hence was rushed to a hospital in Bantwal for treatment. Currently she is responding to the treatment and safe.

Parvati has 3 children and is staying with her younger son Divakar who happens to be a good friend of Siddique. The brave act by Siddique to save the life of another without caring the involved dangers has been praised by the locals as well as on the social media.
