Man wanted in several cases nabbed

Mangaluru: A man accused in a case that was registered at Konaje police station and on the run was nabbed by the personnel of anti-rowdy control force, led by assistant police commissioner of Mangaluru South sub-division. The accused is identified as Sahu Hamid alias Sahul alias Ammy (33), son of B H Usman, a resident of Badriya Nagar, Mallur in the taluk.
Sahu is accused several cases including murder case under Bantwal rural police station limits, a case of POCSO violation in Konaje police station, cases of assault in Mangaluru rural and south police stations, and a case of theft registered in K R Nagar police station of Mysuru.
After being incarcerated in connection to the POCSO case registered with Konaje police, Sahu availed bail. He soon went underground and jumped the bail conditions. However, the accused was finally arrested and has been handed over to Konaje police.
The operation was conducted under the direction of police commissioner Sandeep Patil, with guidance from Hanumantharaya, DCP law and order and Laxmi Ganesh, DCP, crime and traffic. T Kodandaram, assistant commissioner of police of Mangaluru south division and personnel of anti-rowdy force of Mangaluru South were part of the operation.
