Factory workers’ protest turns violent, several injured

Hassan: Two police staffs and few others sustained injuries after the police lathi charged the garment laborers whose protest against low wages turned violent on Wednesday.
As per the sources, thee protests being held by Himatsingka factory workers in Hassan alleging unnecessary assaults and harassment against them turned violent on Wednesday and the protestors also hurled stones on news reporters and police.
The police are still trying to bring the situation under control, informed police.
