4 of family die in road accident

Mandya: In a tragic accident four members of a family died after the vehicle they were travelling in collided with KSRTC bus near Gejjalagere on Bengaluru-Mysuru highway on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased are Ravi (31), his wife Manjula (28), son Sagar (8) and daughter Sukanya (6), all residents of Mandy district.

The accident took place when Ravi’s Maruti Ritz car, which was proceeding from Bengaluru, lost control and rammed into a KSRTC bus heading in the opposite direction.

Three persons were killed on the spot while Manjula succumbed to the injuries in the VIMS hospital after she stopped responding to the treatment.

A case in this regard has been registered at Madduru police.
