Youth missing from Puttur found dead in M’luru

Mangaluru: A youth who went missing from Puttur has been found dead on the banks of Netravati river at Dambel in Mangaluru. The deceased is identified as Sudarshan Naik (22), a resident of Ujrupade in Balnadu village of Puttur.

On Thursday, locals noticed a corpse floating in the river and duly informed Urwa police. It is suspected that he might have committed suicide and Urwa police have registered an unnatural death case.

Sudarshan was working at Panambur NMPT canteen and used to visit his home (Puttur) once in a week. On July 28th, he left for home and then left from his home on July 30th but he never reached back the canteen and was presumed missing.

A missing complaint was filed with Puttur rural police station by Sumanth Naik, elder brother of the deceased.
