Mahindra Bolero power plus gets BS-VI certification; Bolero upgraded with safety features

Mahindra Bolero Power+ has received BS-VI readiness certification from the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT). With this, Bolero has become the first UV (Utility Vehicle) in India to be certified as BS6-compliant. The company assured that the BS-VI Bolero will be launched in early 2020 to comply with the upcoming emission norms scheduled to begin from April 1, 2020.

Mr.Rajan Wadhera, President, Automotive Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said “As the first milestone in our BS-VI readiness journey, we are delighted to get the BS-VI certification for the Bolero Power+. The Bolero is one of our highest selling SUVs and has been the first UV (Utility Vehicle) to be certified as BS-VI ready by the ICAT.”

On the other hand, Mahindra has upgraded its flagship Bolero model with a lot of safety features that include Driver Airbag, Speed alert system, Driver & Co-Driver Seat belt reminders, Manual override for central locking system to open the door from inside and Vehicle reverse parking sensors. The standard safety features include an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), front disc brakes, anti-glare IRVM, digital immobilizer and a seat belt reminder along with a high ground clearance, high angle of approach and departure.

The Bolero Power+, Bolero Plus (9-seater) and the Bolero Ambulance will also be upgraded shortly in the near future.
