Mangaluru: The vehicular movement is badly affected on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru state highway 75 and is presently prohibited as many trees have fallen across the road due to the incessant rains pouring since the past two days in the Ghat section.
Trees have fallen across the road on Shiradi Ghat at four places causing traffic blockade with long queues waiting to enter the Ghat region. The road clearing operation is under progress with the cooperation from the locals.
Vehicular movement is also affected in the Charmadi Ghat region due to heavy rainfall. Landslides have occurred on the second, eighth and ninth bends of the Ghatr region with many fallen trees blocking many places. The clearing operation is in progress.
