Collapsing mud wall kills woman milking cow

Brahmavar: A woman, who was milking a cow, died when the mud wall of the cow shed collapsed on her at Benagal of Cherkady village of the taluk on the morning of Thursday, August 8 at around 6.15 am. The deceased is identified as Ganga Marakalti (52), wife of Koraga Markala.

The incessant rains since the last two days had moistened the walls of the cowshed and when Ganga was milking the cow, the wall suddenly collapsed on her. Stuck in the rubble, Ganga suffered critical injury. Although she was rushed to the hospital, she did not survive the incident.

Brahmavar tahsildar Kiran Gauraiah and gram panchayat president visited the spot and investigated the incident.
