Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa faced an unpleasant situation on Friday evening when some flood-affected people tried to lay siege to his cavalcade in Gadag district, complaining of inadequate relief.
The police made a mild baton charge to disperse the group and allow his vehicle to proceed.
Gadag is among the worst-hit areas where the Mallapura dam on Malaprabha river in Hole Alur Taluk has breached its banks.
Twelve people have so far been killed in rain-related incidents in Karnataka.
