K’taka flood: Nikhil Kumaraswamy to review flood situation

Belagavi: Actor and son of Former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy, Nikhil Kumaraswamy will be camped in Belgaum for two days to monitor flood situation.

Addressing presspersons with this regard he said, “Two Central Ministers from Karnataka also visited Belgaum. The central government should announce a flood relief package for the state.”

As many as six people lost their lives in Belgaum district, as incessant rains continue to wreak havoc in Karnataka.

Meanwhile, Red alert has been given as the forecast is heavy to very heavy rains in coastal, central and southern districts of the state over the next 4-5 days due to the southwest monsoon peaking and favorable conditions, including the formation of thick clouds and strong wind movement.
