Gangolli: A man has gone missing after accidentally falling into a river near Guddeyangadi on Wednesday. The missing man is identified as Rabert Banj (35) and was on his way to distribute postal letters when the incident occurred.
Robert was riding a scooter along with Walter Fernandes riding pillion and proceeding towards Guddeyangadi. He dropped Walter at Jhonny D’Almedia’s pett shop and informed that he would be back after distributing the letters. But even after the passage of considerable time, he failed to show up and hence a search for him was launched.
Eventually, the scooter was found beside a country drain and a pair slippers were found floating on the water surface. It is suspected that Robert must have been accidentally fallen into the river when trudging along the footpath due to the combination of strong wind, heavy rain and an open umbrella.
