Kundapur: The corpse of Robert Banz, who fell into a rivulet at Nada Guddeangadi under Gangolli police station limits while on duty, was recovered from Kalihitlu of Gujjadi in Gangolli on the morning of Friday, August 16.
Earlier, the victim had taken a resident of Attikone identified as Walter Fernandes on his bike on August 14 and had dropped him near the petty shop of Johny D’Almeida informing that he would return soon after delivering the mail. But, he never showed up.
Eventually, Robert’s family members started searching for him and located his two-wheeler near the Nada Kaluvina Bagilu rivulet and his footwear was floating in the water. It was suspected that he must have fallen into the rivulet by a combination of wind, rain and umbrella.
