BJP govt is downsizing pro-people schemes started by Cong govt, tweets Siddu

Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday said that the Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa led BJP government is downsizing or neglecting few pro-people schemes that was started by Siddaramaiah-led Congress government.
“State BJP government is either downsizing or neglecting few pro-people schemes that was started by our government. Such move shall be condemned and wide-spread protests have to be carried out to protect the interests of the common man. @INCKarnataka,” tweeted Siddaramaiah.

In another tweet, he added, ” These are the schemes that is acting as a buffer support in this economic slowdown which is a result of @narendramodi’s shortsighted & careless approach towards policy making. Any effect to our pro-poor schemes shall disturb the livelihood of many families.”

Siddaramaiah’s comment comes in the backdrop of the the flood review meeting held by Yediyurappa, wherein he had sought advice from officials about managing funds for flood relief and rehabilitation.
In the meeting, the officials had suggested Yediyurappa to cut down benefits of a few schemes.
