Maiden Dalit Sahitya Sammelan inagurated

Kolar: The maiden Dalit Sahitya Sammelan, a literary meet dedicated to Dalit literature was inaugurated on Saturday by MP S Muniswamy.
Addressing the gathering Muniswamy said that youth should be encouraged to involve themselves in literary activities.
The meet will have dedicated sessions on Dalit lives, poetry and other forms of literature, informed sources. Kolar L Hanumanthaiah, Dalit poet and Rajya Sabha member, is president of the meet.
In the last five decades, Dalit literature has more or less become part of mainstream Kannada literature.
