MP lays foundation for classrooms in Kalladka government school

Bantwal: “Kalladka is taking shape as the center of religion and education. It is commendable that citizens have come together here in harmony to help and preserve Kalladka government school,” said MP Nalin Kumar after laying foundation stone for constructing ten classrooms as part of quasquicentennial jubilee in Kalladka government on Saturday, August 18.

The MP congratulated the support from old students and people in the village who give importance to education and said, “MRPL has already approved Rs 64 lakh for the full-fledged school being constructed at a cost of Rs three crore.”

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Rajesh Naik said, “We need to honour young generation in the all-round development of the country,” and added that only countries which follow the path of peace and harmony can develop.

MLC Ivan D’Souza, ZP president Meenakshi Shanthigodu and TP president Chandrahasa Karkera inaugurated three separate rooms constructed in view of 125 years jubilee.

Meanwhile, MLC D’Souza announced Rs 3 lakh for the construction of a new solar unit, TP president Chandrahasa Karkera announced Rs 1 lakh for new building construction while TP member Mahabala Alva announced Rs 50,000.

The foundation for the auditorium costing Rs 5 lakh donated by old student, donor P B Ibrahim was laid by entrepreneur Santhosh Kumar Shetty.
