GSI team visits Chikmagalur to study landslide patterns

Chikmagalur: A team from Geological Survey of India (GSI) led by Kapil Singh, Kamal Kumar and Dayanand visited Chikamagaluru on Thursday to examine the damage caused by rain, flood and landslides here.

Extensive flooding had resulted in landslides at a couple of places in the district.

The team of scientists who visited these areas will investigate the cause of landslides and will submit the report to the government, informed sources.
