Stone pelted at Church: Investigation begins under Bedagam CI’s leadership

Manjeshwar: In the backdrop of sand mafia pelting stones at ‘Our Lady of Mercy’ church located at Kundukolake here and causing damage, the DGP has assured to catch the accused and do justice after accepting a request submitted to the officer by the parish priest and members of the church council urging the officials to give them justice.

On this occasion, the DGP has appointed Bedagam CI T V Uttam Das, to conduct the investigation and catch hold of the accused.

Allegations are now being heard that respected persons in Manjeshwar and politicians may be behind the open functioning of sand mafia activity in Kundukolale area. In the backdrop of this allegation, the DGP has ordered Manjeshwar police to stay away from the investigation.
