Karavali floods: MP Shobha Karandalaje holds review meeting in Udupi

Udupi: Udupi-Chikkamagaluru district MP Shobha Karandlaje held a review meeting at the DC Office with MLAs and district administration to assess the damages caused by the recent heavy downpour in the district.
In the meeting, Shobha assured that maximum relief materials will be provided to owners whose houses were partially damaged in the heavy rains that lashed the region. She also directed all the Tahsildars to re-evaluate the damage caused to the said houses and dispense the maximum amount of relief to the owners.
It is gathered that nearly 325 hectares of paddy crop and 11.26 acres of the horticultural crop have been damaged.
Shobha further directed the Health Department to be on alert as dengue and malaria were on the rise.
After the meeting, Shobha tweeted, “Held a review meeting today in Udupi with elected representatives & district administration to assess the damages caused by the recent heavy downpour in the district. Also discussed about the relief measures taken & compensation distribution to the victims.”
