Police conduct rowdy parade with special focus on reforming them

Mangaluru: To prevent crimes and to keep a tab on criminals, with the backdrop of an awareness programme the Commissioner of Police (Mangaluru) conducted a parade of rowdy sheeters in Mangaluru at Police grounds here on Wednesday.
Commissioner of Police, P.S. Harsha warned more than 350 rowdies who had assembled here to refrain from indulging in any criminal activity. The commissioner requested them to give up their criminal and anti-social activities and live as ordinary citizens pursuing honorable careers. The rowdies, involved in robberies, attempts to murder and murders, were warned of strict action if they continue to indulge in crimes.
The police collected the mobile numbers, addresses and information about the jobs the rowdy-sheeters were involved in for better monitoring. The parade began at 11.30 a.m. and lasted till 12.15 p.m.
