Three children killed in sand dune collapse

Koppal: Three children suffocated to death after getting trapped under a heap of sand while they were playing in Navali village in Kanakgiri taluk of Koppal here on Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as Sonam (5), Savita (3), and Kavita (2). Three other children Roshan, Kiran and Babu had a lucky escape when the sand dune collapsed on them.

It is gathered that their parents, natives of West Bengal are employed as daily wage labourers here.
