Karwar: A team of police personnel deployed to trace the missing Karwar Deputy Superintendent of Police Shankar Marihal and two other officers have located them in the forests and have assured of bringing them back safely.
On Sunday evening, Marihal and his team had gone to Baare village near Kaiga to trace the location of a satellite phone call. However, the team lost their way and strayed into the dense forest of Western Ghats.
A search had been launched for the team when they did not return. Moreover owing to lack of mobile network in the forest area, the police team could not be contacted on the phone.
