Udupi Santhekatte: Vehicle transporting tiger dancers topples; 1 dead

Udupi: In a tragic accident, a vehicle which was transporting tiger dancers toppled, killing one dancer and grievously injuring two others at Nejar on Wednesday. The deceased is identified as Sumant (22) of Padubidri.

The unfortunate dancers were on their way to participate in the procession for the discharging of Ganesh statue when tragedy struck. There were more than 12 dancers within the vehicle when the accident occurred near Nejar playground.

Two dancers suffered grievous injuries while five dancers escaped with minor injuries. The injured have been admitted to Manipal hospital.
