Special drive: Police seize 75 vehicles without number plates

Mangaluru: As many as 75 vehicles were seized by the city police in a special drive to take action against vehicles not bearing number plates on Wednesday Sep 4th. The cops also collected fines from the non-compliant vehicle users.
It may be noted that those involved in illegal activities make use of vehicles after removing the number plate with the aim to avoid being caught. Hence, the cops organised the surprise special drive.
The special drive will be continued for the next couple of days, informed Police Commissioner Dr|Harsha P S and warned the public to put proper number plates or face consequences.
