Mangaluru: Following Sasikanth Senthil resignation from post of Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner stating that fundamental building blocks of diverse democracy are being compromised, Puttur MLA and district BJP president, Sanjeev Matandoor on Monday termed the former DC an anti-national.
Speaking at a press meet here Matandoor said that though Senthil was a sincere officer, he expressed his dissent against centre’s decision on Article 370 and other things.
“Being a public servant, he spoke against the decision of the central government and hence Sasikanth Senthil is an anti-national,” said Sanjeev Matandoor.
Notably, Matandoor initially termed Senthil as a traitor during the press meet but later he amended it as an anti-national.
Further, he demanded that a probe be undertaken to ascertain if Senthil had contacts with any organisations.
Mangaluru North MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty, BJP leaders Harikrishna Bantwal and others were present.
