Goods truck catches fire; biscuits, rusk gutted

Kundapur: A truck transporting biscuits an rusk caught fire on Siddapur-Kundapur connecting road near Kandlur police station on Thursday, September 12.

The vehicle was plying from Kundapur to Shivamogga and the fire was noticed when the truck approached the police station.

Apparently, the fire started due to the short circuit in the tail light of the vehicle and biscuits and rusk worth Rs 3.5 lakh went up in flames.

Kundapur fire service personnel rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
