Mangaluru: Normally, police commissioner and IPS officials posted in Karnataka prefer to tweet either in English or Kannada language however, an IPS officer posted in Mangaluru has taken the road less travelled and tweeted in Tulu language, which is DK’s local vernacular.
In his tweet on Thursday Sep 12th, Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Dr P S Harsha informed about the police drill to be held at the Police Grounds on Friday morning by using Tulu language (using Kannada script).
“Tomorrow, there is going to be a police drill programme at the police grounds from 8 am to 9 am. This is the first programme after I have assumed power as the city police commissioner. I’m excited to greet, meet and talk to all the police officers and the staffs. The programme will cast live on Facebook, Twitter, hence people can sit at home and watch it,” tweeted Mr Harsha.
