Kalaburagi: BJP MP from Gulbarga Umesh Jadhav on Sunday said that there was no need for Operation Lotus because the Congress leaders are creating such a suffocating situation in the party that their leaders were quitting one after other and joining the BJP.
Addressing a media conference at the Aiwan-e-Shahi Guest House here Jadhav said that there is no need for Operation Lotus, Congress leaders are fed with their party and therefore want to join our party. “BJP leaders have never persuaded any leaders of Congress to join BJP,” he added.
He further said that he is trying to get the Kalaburagi airport inaugurated on November 1, the Karnataka Rajyotsava day.
“I want it to be inaugurated on the day of Karnataka Rajyotsava on November 1. Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa is also keen on throwing open the airport for commercial operations on the same day. We want Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate it and we are trying hard to get him on the day,” he said.
Party leaders Doddappagouda Patil Naribol, B.G. Patil, Shashil G. Namoshi and others were present on the occasion.
