B’luru techie goes missing during Kumaraparvatha trek

Subrahmanya: A 25-year-old Bengaluru techie, part of a 12-member trekking team went missing at Girigadde on Sunday, September 15 during their trekking expedition at Kumara Parvatha near Subrahmanya.
The missing trekker, Santosh and other members of the team had commenced their trek from near Devaragadde in Subrahmanya on Saturday. After spending a night in the area they commenced their trek the next day morning to scale the Shesha Parvatha on Sunday.
The entire team had been divided into two groups of six members each. On their way back Santosh was trailing behind one of the 6-member team while his team members commenced the return trail after around 10 minutes time.
It was only after reaching the endpoint that they realised Santosh had gone missing. Forest officials were immediately notified and a search was launched for him.
On Tuesday, five teams of comprising of forest and police officials will commence the search for Santosh in the area.
